... pillar crumbled and the other was destroyed by a car. Late in 2010, neighbors, led by Jim Morgan and Emily Stoper, began a community fund drive to restore the pillars. Unforeseen obstacles were overcome with the assistance of Councilwoman Jane Brunner, her staff and the Department of Public Works.
