About
Why This Archive Exists
A Reader's Project
I love The Rockridge News and read it cover to cover whenever it arrives. It is one of those neighborhood institutions that quietly accumulates a civic memory: block parties, school updates, land-use fights, letters, ads, small-business openings, and the ordinary texture of Rockridge life.
I found the back issues and wanted a better way to dig into them: to search across years, open issues quickly, and understand more of the neighborhood's history through the paper itself. This viewer is the tool I wished existed for reading the archive.
Not The Official Publication
This is an independent community archive viewer built by Ned Dwyer. It is not the official website, publication, or archive of The Rockridge News or the Rockridge Community Planning Council.
The source issues come from the public archive maintained by RCPC. For the official organization, publication, events, and current information, visit rockridge.org.
