SRM Development (Washington State) in cooperation with a senior assisted-living operator has proposed a mixed-use project for the Broadway frontage from 51st Street to Coronado Street: 120 units of market-rate senior rental housing over parking and ground-floor retail. Plans call for the project to step down toward residential neighbors to the west. Being formally submitted to the city.

One problem identified: the loading area adjacent to a residential duplex creates early-morning noise and pedestrian/bicycle safety hazards.
