Lake Temescal restoration and dredging
East Bay Regional Park District is studying feasibility of a comprehensive restoration of Lake Temescal, including dredging to restore depth from 14 feet to 30-35 feet, improved retention ponds, and installation of wetland features. Environmental impact studies and government permitting could take two years before the project is shovel-ready. An expensive undertaking funded through state bonds, private grants, and public fundraising.
