5132 Telegraph Avenue
A large mixed-use development proposed for the Global Video site at 5132 Telegraph by developer Hauser, featuring multiple high-rise residential towers with ground-floor retail. The project was near Temescal Creek.
Developer Hauser presented detailed plans for 115 residential units in three buildings (two at 6 stories/65 feet, one at 4 stories) on the Global Video site at 5132 Telegraph. The project was marketed as 'Creekside' referencing proximity to Temescal Creek.
The Creekside/Global Video project was scheduled for design review on April 25. FROG (Friends of the Rockridge Greenbelt) expressed concerns about the project's impact. RCPC was actively monitoring.
After the April 25 design review, RCPC's land use committee agreed the project had been brought prematurely and called for a less massive, lower-rise design. The article called for mandatory exploration of daylighting Temescal Creek.
