College Avenue repaving is now actively underway. Phase 1 (grinding and repaving from Broadway through Ocean View area) is to start in the first or second week of February 2021, with completion by end of month. Phase 2 (slurry seal from Keith to Alcatraz, plus bike lanes, traffic signal upgrades at BART intersections, and curb extensions at Keith, Shafter, and Miles) follows in March. Outdoor restaurant parklets will be temporarily removed and reconstructed at City expense.
College Avenue, Broadway to Alcatraz
A planned repaving of College Avenue, including installation of bike lanes and traffic signal upgrades, has been postponed from late October 2020 to some point in 2021. Work was to take place in two phases: Broadway to Ocean View, then Ocean View to Alcatraz.

“Phase One. The first part of work is slated to begin in the first or second week of February and should be complete, assuming minimal rain delays, by end of the month. Work teams must first grind down the existing pavement and repave it completely (they'll be sweeping every day to minimize rocks/dust build-up).
