Public meetings were scheduled for March, with city council votes expected in April 2012 and Federal Transit Administration Record of Decision in August. If approved, construction was projected to begin April 2014 and be completed two years later.
Telegraph Avenue corridor, Oakland/Berkeley to San Leandro
AC Transit's proposed Bus Rapid Transit line along Telegraph Avenue was in environmental review. The Draft EIR predicted significant impact at the Alcatraz/Telegraph intersection. RCPC drafted a letter expressing concerns about delays and neighborhood shortcutting.
AC Transit's proposed Bus Rapid Transit project on Telegraph Ave is moving through Oakland's planning process. The Oakland Planning Commission is holding a public hearing on February 17, with a City Council vote expected April 6. Oakland staff is also proposing an intermediate 'Rapid Bus Plus' alternative.
